100 Doors is a puzzle game that relies heavily on logic, and it will certainly leave many players scratching their heads in thought for hours at a time. The game is relatively simple in terms of the concept. There are 100 levels, and each level consists of a door that is locked in some way. To reach the next level, players must unlock the door of their current level.

To start off, the game isn't that difficult. Most players will have no trouble quickly breezing through the first few doors since they only require rudimentary methods to unlock them, like pulling levers or using objects in the room to assist in unlocking the door. The game has a bit of a trial and error mentality since it provides no clues about what may or may not work to open the next door.

Once the first few levels are cleared, the game starts to reach higher difficulty levels that are much more comprehensive. Players will have to use lateral thinking if they want to continue advancing, and a thread of creativity and imagination will help as well. Some doors only open when a series of buttons is pressed in the right order. Some require that the player use the accelerometer in their Android smartphone to tilt the game to a specific angle that will unlock the door. That might sound like a relatively obscure method to get past a level, but that is one of the most obvious solutions. Some are so difficult that the vast majority of players will not be able to solve them without some sort of help from an online resource.

Unfortunately, the game doesn't include an internal hints or tips, so the player is entirely on their own when it comes to solving these puzzles. Of course, there are players who have gone through the hassle of solving these puzzles themselves, and they have created companion apps and reference guides that include the solutions. Many players might consider that to be cheating, but when they see the complexity of some of these puzzles, they won't feel so bad about it.

Visually, this game isn't much to write home about. The graphics are incredibly simply, and the game has a distinct pixelation that is the result of keeping the file as small as possible. This is great for its utility of system resources, but detracts a bit from the overall experience. Then again, the game is much more focused on the puzzles than anything else, so the graphics aren't exactly a key factor in the enjoyment of the game. Anyone who loves puzzles or riddles will be drawn to this game, and it has more than enough content to keep players engaged for hours at a time. The trick will be learning to put down the game when a seemingly unbeatable level arises.
